Build Status Report

Environment

  • OS: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (Linux)
  • Node.js: v20.20.0 (Warning: Project requires >=22.12.0)
  • pnpm: 10.23.0
  • Gradle: 9.2.1
  • Java: 17.0.17

Successfully Built Components

1. TypeScript CLI and Gateway (Windows/WSL Compatible)

Status: Successfully built

The main TypeScript application has been built and is ready to run on:

  • Linux
  • macOS
  • Windows (via WSL2 - recommended installation method per documentation)

Build Artifacts:

  • dist/entry.js - CLI entry point
  • dist/ - Complete compiled TypeScript output (240K+ directory)
  • All core modules: gateway, agents, channels, commands, etc.

Build Commands Used:

pnpm install
pnpm build

Next Steps for Windows: Per the documentation (docs/platforms/windows.md), Clawdbot on Windows should be run via WSL2:

  1. Install WSL2 with Ubuntu
  2. Enable systemd in WSL
  3. Run the built CLI inside WSL: clawdbot onboard --install-daemon

2. Web UI (Control UI)

Status: Successfully built

The web-based control UI has been compiled and is ready for deployment.

Build Artifacts:

  • dist/control-ui/index.html (0.52 kB)
  • dist/control-ui/assets/index-CjW_qQ45.css (74.84 kB)
  • dist/control-ui/assets/index-BCK1V83p.js (350.81 kB)

Build Command Used:

pnpm ui:build

Android Build Status

Attempted but Failed (Network Restrictions)

Status: Cannot complete due to environment limitations

The Android build requires downloading dependencies from Google Maven Repository (dl.google.com), which is blocked in this sandboxed environment.

Error Encountered:

could not resolve plugin artifact 'com.android.application:com.android.application.gradle.plugin'
Searched in: Google, MavenRepo, Gradle Central Plugin Repository

Root Cause: Network restrictions prevent access to dl.google.com, which hosts the Android Gradle Plugin and other Android build tools.

Build Configuration:

  • Location: apps/android/
  • App ID: com.clawdbot.android
  • Version: 2026.1.25 (versionCode: 202601250)
  • Min SDK: 31, Target SDK: 36, Compile SDK: 36
  • Build Tool: Gradle with Kotlin DSL

To Build Android in an Unrestricted Environment:

pnpm android:assemble  # Build debug APK
pnpm android:install   # Install on connected device
pnpm android:run      # Install and launch

Expected Output: When built successfully, the APK will be located at: apps/android/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk

Recommendations

  1. For Windows deployment: Use the built artifacts with WSL2 following docs/platforms/windows.md
  2. For Android build: Run the build in an environment with full internet access to Google Maven
  3. Node.js version: Consider upgrading to Node.js 22.12.0+ to match project requirements (currently on 20.20.0)
